Description

Every hundred years, the gods and champions of Ka'kara gather for the ultimate racing competition! Gigantic hands reach from the skies and bring joy or devastation to their tribes. Ultimate Godspeed is a party racing game where the players take control of gods and their champions. In a round based race the gods choose from a range of items and place them on the track, before battling it out. The goal: Creating the shortest way for their champion or the most pain for the opponents. Players can use ramps to jump over obstacles, build tunnels or place deadly traps like the menacing swinging scythe.

History

A first prototype was developed during two months by Pierre Lippuner and Jan Schneider as their Bachelor’s project in Game Design at the ZHdK. The project was known as “Fast! Food” with a different food-styled theme and slightly different game mechanics. Since September 2020 we rebranded the game to Ultimate Godspeed, a game about the ultimate contest between gods and their champions.

Features

  • Unique kart game mechanic: Modify the racing track to fit your playstyle. You can either optimize your racing times or set traps for other players.
  • Unique Items: choose between ramps, platforms, tunnels or deadly holes
  • Combine items in creative ways, to get new and unexpected results.
  • Unique gameplay modes for kart racing fans.
  • Colourful and fun artstyle
